Daily update is a feature that sends users a notification at the time of day they specify when they invoke an Action. This feature is available only on Android and iOS devices that have the Google Assistant app installed. It is not available on voice-activated speakers or smart displays.
To configure an Action to use daily update, follow these steps:
Add a registration prompt for subscribing to your daily updates. This prompt can be given mid-conversation, as a suggestion chip when the conversation ends, or at the end of your Action.
Show the user how your daily updates are different from other content, so they feel confident that they will receive something valuable every day. Make sure you do not bombard the user with requests to subscribe to daily updates: it is best to offer them once, after your Action has shown the value and they have demonstrated an interest in receiving it.
